Communications Specialist

The Communication Specialist will elevate the company communications output quality to positively impact perception, credibility, and brand positioning, externally and internally, while aligning with Critical Mass Marketing and Brand strategy and goals. 

He/she achieves this by producing content for and handling external digital channels and internal communications; keeping employees informed on company initiatives and updates, providing outstanding customer service to internal stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations, managing content dissemination, monitoring results, and proposing improvements.

 

Job location: Costa Rica

You will:

  • Manage social media Calendar and post content regularly based on CM marketing goals
  • Monitor and manage conversations and direct messages
  • Monitor metrics and propose optimization based on data
  • Create content for blog articles, social media post captions, copy for ads, website, internal communications, press releases, video scripts and other marketing materials.
  • Coordinate and produce internal email communications and Teams announcements, including preparation of word templates and messaging recommendations
  • Provide support on physical events, webinars, seminars, and live events.
  • Handle various content creation and production activities, including interviews, taking photos, basic filming, basic video editing.
  • Manage regular communication with CM Global Marketing to align on content and overall communication strategy.
  • Provide support and guidance to other departments producing content and crafting messages for internal comms
  • Ensure CM LATAM monthly marketing goals and number of posts goals are met.

 

You have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications; strong experience in corporate communications including designing communication campaigns for technology and/or digital agencies is preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye language, flow, and grammar, in English and Spanish.
  • Wide experience in content creation for social media and internal corporate platforms
  • Deep understanding about Technology Industry, MarketingAgencies,and Social media trends
  • Passion about technology and its ramifications and trends.
  • Writing professionally in various styles for diverse audiences and adapt voice to each project.
  • Technical expertise and willingness to learn topics on social media content and managing the intranet.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage and influence different stakeholders such as senior management, discipline departments, admin team and vendors.
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Excellent ownership skills and high level of drive and initiative.
  • Understanding and appreciation for the relationship between textual and visual elements
  • Understanding of the nuances of social media writing, including the proper use of hashtags, emojis, acronyms and mentions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate communications and PR.
  • Understanding of productivity and remote collaboration tools: MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, Acrobat, Drive, Box, P.
  • Comfortable on the iOS environment.
