About the role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Audience Development team as the Community Marketing Manager for Brazil who will support Crunchyroll in growing our international online communities through a growth-focused mindset and a passion for interacting with fans. You have experience in growing and responsibly managing large social communities within Brazil. You will lead the Audience Development efforts for Crunchyroll in the country, contributing to the building of brand awareness and establishing a long-term relationship with the anime and pop culture audience in Brazil. You will execute all aspects of the social media content strategy in partnership with the regional cross-functional team.

In the role of Community Marketing Manager, you will report to the Director of Marketing - Brazil. We are considering applicants for the location of Brazil (remotely).

 

A day in the life:

  • Develop cross-functional relationships and partner with team members
  • Creating social media initiatives to grow, scale, engage and retain the Crunchyroll community.
  • Manage Crunchyroll-owned social platforms daily with external partners (social agency), overseeding the content calendars with external partners, including agencies.
  • Implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategy and goals.
  • Ensure high priority series promotions are improved across all social media marketing channels and tailored to cultural preferences. 
  • Manage a team of social media leads to help articulate and execute Crunchyroll’s social media strategy and brand voice in Brazil. 
  • Develop new content formats for owned channels that will create impact and buzz in social space. 
  • Be an internal subject matter expert for regional audiences and advocate for opportunities. 
  • Support individual social media leads in new ideas and initiatives to drive awareness for Crunchyroll in developing markets with an emphasis in deepening their impact measurement skills; optimize and evaluate campaigns, launches, and new tactics where needed.
  • Help define regional engagement-focused influencer strategy with campaigns aimed at extending title marketing efforts and building brand affinity.   
  • Oversee and collaborate with other team members across marketing efforts to ensure brand and message consistency and stay updated on announcements.
  • Assist teams in gaining access to tools, content, learnings and data from HQ; develop and contribute to our social media standard methodologies, with frequent experimentation and research. 
  • Manage organic social media budget, forecasting and tracking to improve spend based on business objectives; run A/B testing experimentation to deepen understanding of regional characteristics.  
  • Manage engagement and awareness-focused paid media budgets for social across platforms/regions resulting in evergreen campaigns to grow our followers and content-specific campaigns; lead campaign strategy/optimization while developing paid media skills across regional teams through training, reporting and documentation. 
  • Oversee and deliver regional analytics for social media, identifying opportunities/challenges within each community; analyze social media activities from user acquisition, brand awareness, viewership campaigns; review and report on marketing initiatives’ impact on-platform and to established goals.
About You

  • You have 5+ years of experience in social media marketing and/or brand management with prior roles managing people and budgets.
  • You understand major social media platforms, and what kind of content works best to meet specific goals, including awareness, retention, engagement and conversion.
  • You have experience leading successful, creative social media or marketing campaigns. 
  • You are a prowess in using analytics and data to support growth targets; comprehensive knowledge of social media KPI metrics for all major channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. 
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of major social media platforms, how to tailor content by platform, and what kind of content works best to meet specific marketing or business goals; able to mentor others in best practices.
  • You are experienced in effectively using paid media across social platforms to engagement/awareness/community building-oriented goals. 
  • You're at the cutting edge of social media trends and culture, knowing how to credibly and sensitively harness them while maintaining brand safety and values.
  • You have experience in project management from briefing to ROI analysis. 
  • You're familiar with social media management tools: analytics and scheduling platforms (e.g. ListenFirst, SocialBakers, Simply Measured, Later, Dash Hudson, Curalate, Social Flow, Tweetdeck, HootSuite, etc).
  • You are fluent in Portuguese & English; Spanish a plus. 

Bonus Points for:

  • Knowledge of anime and/or fandom communities.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Experience with GTM strategies for social media platforms.
  • Experience with leading original content and/or video initiatives. 
  • Experience with Wrike or similar project management tools. 
  • Professional experience working for entertainment or digital media brands.
