You’ll be working as part of the Operations Construction Team within OVO Energy Solutions, overseeing the delivery of domestic external wall installation (EWI) systems and various associated works. Reporting into the Regional Senior Project Manager, you will be the point of contact for ongoing installation works on site. You will assist the Project Manager control the day to day site activities and monitor the SHE and quality performance of various contractors.. Delivering a service we can be proud of, you will contribute significantly to both Plan Zero and support the reduction of fuel poverty.

 

 

 

This role in a nutshell:

Working for the Operations Construction Department , the Project Site Supervisor will assist the Project Manager oversee and control Co-ordinating contractors to install large scale external wall insulation (EWI) Installations to mixed tenure properties with a set time related programme of works and address list. Construction Project Supervisor will work with the wider OVO ES Project Team to manage and control all site activities on a daily basis and ensure complaint installations are carried out within the agreed timescales and budgets. The Construction Project Supervisor will also ensure SHE compliance at site level and carry out the various documented site SHE and quality checks and audits required to satisfy the internal Ovo ES processes. The Construction Project  Supervisor will conduct frequent installation inspections, observing and recording contractors safe working practices, quality procedures and installation quality. The role will involve customer facing dialogue supporting all parts of the business in demonstrating sound technical understanding of solutions offered and provided. Promote exceptional service delivery throughout the supply chain and develop/maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, client representatives and customers alike. 

 

 

Your key outcomes will be:

 

  • Demonstrate sound technical knowledge of external wall insulation (EWI) systems and installation procedures on large scale domestic projectsAn understanding of gas flue and combustion ventilation requirements and standards.
  • An understanding of scaffold installations and inspection requirements. 
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest SHE standards, above set benchmarks and compliant with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. 
  • A sound understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations is essential.
  • Deliver projects to achieve the required quality, on time and within contractual parameters. 
  • Ensure all OVO ES project documentation is complete, compliant and appropriately stored. 
  • Work with Co-ordinating Contractors and System Suppliers to ensure appropriate property system designs are adhered to.
  • Submit accurate/timely project status reports on the agreed suite of reporting templates.
  • Manage site issues and any customer complaints within agreed SLAs or internal KPIs 
  • Comply with the core processes that are in place covering the works being undertaken.
  • Ensure that contractor and client representative views are communicated to the Project Manager with regards to ongoing service delivery.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to travel /switch between schemes which could involve travel & overnight stays. 

 

You’ll be a successful Construction Project Supervisor at OVO if you have…

  • Strong technical knowledge of domestic large scale External Wall Insulation (EWI) system Installations. 
  • Good experience of roles and duties within CDM 2015 Regulations.
  • Ideally you will have training in external wall Insulation (EWI) systems
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Certificate, Construction Skills Certificate Scheme, Asbestos Awareness Training, Scaffold Inspection Training, First Aid Training will be provided to the suitable candidate as mandatory if not already possessed
  • Computer literate with proficiency of IT operating systems 
  • Full clean driving license is essential
