Content architects are responsible for designing and structuring the content framework of digital platforms such as websites, mobile apps, and digital asset management systems. Their goal is to ensure that content is organized, accessible, and optimized for delivery across various channels and devices.

As a Content Architect at Okta, you will play a crucial role in structuring and organizing content for our corporate website and digital asset manager. This is a non-technical role that requires a deep understanding of content management principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and content authors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content Modeling: Define content models and schemas to standardize content structures and relationships for content reuse, personalization, and scalability.
  • Content Analysis: Analyze content requirements, audience needs, and business objectives to determine effective content structures.
  • Taxonomy and Metadata Management: Create taxonomies and metadata schemas to classify and tag content for improved searchability and navigation.
  • Information Architecture: Design information architecture for digital platforms, including site maps, navigation menus, and content hierarchies to ensure a logical and intuitive user experience.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with content creators, designers, developers, and marketers to gather requirements and ensure alignment throughout the content lifecycle.
  • Technical Integration: Collaborate with developers and IT teams to implement CMS, DAM systems, and other technology solutions, defining data structures, APIs, and integration requirements.
  • Content Governance: Establish policies, workflows, and processes for content creation, publication, and maintenance to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor content performance metrics and analytics to identify optimization opportunities and refine content strategies and architectures based on data-driven insights and best practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in content architecture and management, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex data requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Science, Library Science, or Computer Science.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$132,000—$198,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $148,000—$222,000 USD
