Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Content Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our Japanese documentation portal, overseeing the documentation lifecycle process, and leading a team of translators and interpreters. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying content that needs localization, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the seamless organization and lifecycle of documentation.
Responsibilities:
1. Japanese Documentation Portal Management:
- Oversee the Japanese documentation portal, ensuring it is up-to-date, accurate, and user-friendly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and organize information for inclusion in the portal.
- Regularly review and update content to align with organizational standards and industry best practices.
2. Documentation Localization Process:
- Coordinate and collaborate with Japan local cross-functional teams to identify content requiring localization. Follow documentation localization process, and coordinate with HQ Documentation Localization Manager to streamline and prioritize documentation for localization.
- Manage translator and interpreter contractors to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations.
- Establish and maintain efficient workflows for internal localization processes.
3. Proactive Content Localization:
- Proactively identify content that requires localization to meet the needs of the Japanese audience.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and customer support teams to understand localization requirements and priorities.
4. Documentation Lifecycle Management:
- Manage the end-to-end documentation lifecycle, from creation to retirement.
- Develop and implement documentation standards and guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with HQ marketing / Product management to ensure compliance and brand standards
5. Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of translators and interpreters, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
6. Japanese Copywriting for Partner Portal:
- Write and edit copy in Japanese for the partner portal, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the brand voice.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate partner-focused messaging.
7. Documentation Organization:
- Organize documentation for intuitive consumption, making it easy for users to find the information they need.
- Implement and maintain a taxonomy for efficient documentation navigation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in documentation management and localization.
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams.
