Controller for Latin America (LATAM)
How You’ll Find Success
- Own monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes for the Latin America region (LATAM) for 4 legal entities
- Review journal entries, general ledger accounts and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP
- Work closely with tax professionals on transfer pricing, tax returns and other tax compliance items
- Work closely with entity contacts on local bookkeeping requirements/local GAAP
- Work closely with internal and external auditors
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and best practices
- Automate accounting processes as well as other business processes
- Assist with other accounting duties and ad-hoc requests
- Mentor and coach other team members
- Master’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 9+ years of accounting experience
- CPA certification required
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Able to work within a team environment effectively, as well as function independently
- Great oral and written communication skills to interact with upper levels of management
