Financial Controller LATAM
This is an excellent opportunity to join our ever-growing LATAM regional team in our Regional HUB. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the financial reporting function of our LatAm region, consolidating the financials of the different offices within the region.
The ChallengeWe are looking for a Financial Supervisor to join our dynamic and multinational team. This role is based in Bogota. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be directly responsible for supporting all finance and accounting tasks for Latam.
A Flavour of what you will be doing- Responsible for the general accounting functions of the Colombian (local) entities and those within the LATAM region, including but not limited to, ensuring that the local and regional financial records are accurately maintained and reconciled, and all required regulatory reporting requirements are honoured.
- Responsible for the month-end accounting procedures and reconciliations of financial data flows.
- Preparing monthly management accounts for the local entities including those for the entire LATAM region for presentation to the central finance team and other key stakeholders.
- Ensuring efficient local and regional tax planning and business compliance with tax, regulations and internal group policies.
- Working closely with the central and regional commercial, operational and finance teams and third-party outsourced consultants.
- Handling relationships with vendors, banks, other financial institutions, regulatary bodies etc.
- Managing the process of financial statements preparation and submission including the coordination of statutory audits for local entities.
- Liaising with the central finance team and the regional finance teams in the LATAM region and third-party consultants, ensuring ongoing communication, regarding the regional performance and all financial reporting matters.
- Implement solid process across LATAM (accounting, treasury and tax) ensuring standarization in LATAM region
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook & Word
- Fluent in English
- Accounting qualification (CPA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Three to five years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (full and SMEs)
- Experience in multinational companies and/or startups.
