Red Ventures is both a marketing and a technology company.  We operate in a myriad of industries, each with unique financial needs.  It’s with excitement that we are searching for a talented, multi-faceted Controller to join our finance team. Our Controller will provide financial leadership to the accounting team to ensure that we remain in adherence to standards and policies. 

Responsibilities: 

Consolidation and Reporting: 

  • Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Manage the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial reports for external stakeholders. 
  • Lead and coordinate the monthly consolidation of financial statements for our global operations. 
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls within the accounting processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Maintain and update company’s financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll records. 
  • Collaborate closely and foster effective communication with cross functional business operations teams to streamline financial processes. Make recommendations concerning business policy, resource allocation, financial goals, objectives, and systems to support company growth and improve financial performance. 

External Audit Management: 

  • Manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors and ensuring a smooth audit cycle. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors during the annual audit. 
  • Ensure timely submission of required documentation and address audit queries. 

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: 

  • Directly oversee the shared services accounts payable and accounts receivable teams. 
  • Ensure efficient processes for invoice processing, collections, and payment disbursement. 
  • Cash management including maintenance of cash balances, cash flow forecast and approval of disbursements. 

Leadership and Development: 

  • Supervise and mentor a team of skilled accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. 
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members, promoting their professional growth and development. 
  • Lead project initiatives on cost reduction, process improvement and margin enhancement to maximize profitability and cash flow. 

Candidate Profile: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • CPA required, preferably with experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm
  • Minimum 10+ years progressive accounting & finance experience with demonstrated leadership and success in a Controller role
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements 
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing external audits and relationships with auditors 
  • Advanced proficiency in month-end consolidations, ERP systems and Microsoft Excel 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities 
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills, displaying the ability to influence at all levels, build teams and encourage evolution 
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a desire to build institutional knowledge and steep themselves in the company's values to drive culture
