We are looking for an EMEA Customer Marketing Associate to join a dynamic team that focuses on delivering bar raising customer marketing. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to experience a busy team. You will assist in the coordination, implementation and execution of marketing strategies and programs that focus on celebrating customers through advocacy, loyalty, and engagement. You will have the opportunity to amplify customer success broadly, as well as build and drive engagement with our loyal customers. The Appian Customer Marketing team is responsible for telling the story of how the world’s fastest-growing organizations use Appian for process automation. We have a unique structure for telling stories, Appian Studio. Our mission is to deliver an entirely different kind of story - one that is relatable, moving and gratifying.

Responsibilities:

  • Amplify the customer voice through strategic storytelling - video, case studies, event speakers, analyst and media engagements, and peer reviews. Develop a pipeline of advocacy opportunities to provide support with the opportunities available to the other Customer Marketing professionals in the team. Financial Services and the Public sector are important targets. 

  • Maintain a deep knowledge of our customer use cases and their business impact; serve as a first point of contact resource for peers across the organization. 

  • Support customer speaker efforts for key events including Appian’s flagship event ‘Appian World’ and support the development of engaging presentations.

  • Provide support to the Customer Appreciation Program, continually recruiting new customer advocates, stories, and soundbites.

  • Provide support to teams initiative of managing peer review sites like Gartner and others, ensuring that we keep our leadership ranking, continually receive new reviews, and use the platforms to source new content.

  • Contribute to the overall marketing campaign strategy, across various channels and milestones, with creative content and customer proof points. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business would be looked upon favorably. 

  • Placement year, or internship in marketing or a year to 18 months in current role. 

  • Previous marketing, customer service, business development or account management experience is a plus. 

  • Ability to drive results in a fast-moving team in a rapidly growing company.

  • You have a passion for marketing. 

  • Excellent communicator across all levels and are incredibly organized. 

  • Time management and prioritization skills are essential to be successful in this role, as demands and projects will take you in different directions each week.

  • Ability to travel to customer meetings or events as needed - approximately 10% travel
