Role ObjectiveWe have a great opportunity for a data all-rounder who can carry out high-level analysis to provide actionable insights to the business using the vast data available in our warehouses, as well as play a key role in the analytical engineering that prepares our “one source of truth” datasets in the company. You will be a key player in our mission to democratise data across the organisation through the development of our self-service data platform. The role sits within the Data and Analytics function which puts you in a position to work with a team of data professionals and have a business-wide impact with your work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical data solutions, build required measurement and tracking across key strategic initiatives and empower business users through high quality data and insights
- Carry out robust data analysis to provide actionable insights to the business, identify new trends in our customer base and unpack areas for improvements through data
- Work with departments across the business to establish KPIs, provide insights and enable a data-driven approach within their teams
- Develop dashboards and reports that fit into our wider dashboard suite providing hands-on access to data to colleagues
- Transform raw data into clean, tested and well-modelled data sets to enable robust data analysis to be carried out
- Collaborate with our data engineers to ensure end-to-end data processing is robust, reliable and delivers against analytical requirements
- 4+ years experience in the field of Analytics Engineering and/or Data Analytics
- Strong understanding of data modelling techniques, ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing principles
- Data presentation techniques, story-telling through data and stakeholder management
- Experience with the development side of at least one BI tool (e.g Tableau, Looker)
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery)
- Experience with dbt
- Experience with Git and version control principles
