Employment Term: 12 months contract

Reporting To: Data Acquisition Team Manager

As a member of the Data Engineering Department, Data Assistant is responsible to support Engineers for data collection, curation, annotation and management activities according to the defined protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and curate datasets according to defined data collection protocols and specifications
  • Label/Annotate data sets according to defined data annotation protocols and instructions.
  • Organize datasets and annotation output according to defined dataset structure specification.
  • Arrange datasets, annotation output, work-log and other associated files according to procedural guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum year 12 school certificate.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to follow and execute defined workflows.
  • Ability to maintain quality, focus and accuracy whilst performing repetitive tasks.
  • Proficient in reporting problems using relevant platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google G Suite, Slack, JAMA, TestRail etc.).
  • Current driver license
  • Effective Team player
  • Good data management and/or file management skills.
  • Ability to discern issues in the work process and report accordingly to the management team.
  • Experience in using image or video editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Movie Maker)
  • Understanding of digital image formats
  • Previous experience in video data collection, curation, annotation and management will be considered an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
