The Data Operations Success Manager/Analyst Opportunity

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Enablement, this role will be responsible for establishing a scalable data operations support model. You will do this through a combination of data lifecycle support, data tooling enablement, organizational literacy and training programs designed to foster the safe usage of and engagement with scalable data models for reporting and analytic consumption.

 

In this impactful role, you will partner with Product, Engineering, Program Management and Data Governance to ensure that our data assets and models are known, understood, used and celebrated throughout the CIC organization. You will triangulate end-user needs with a variety of operational tools and creative messaging to ensure success of the data team’s assets.

 

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead data operations for the CIC product including release communications, organizational documentation, data literacy and training initiatives
  • Partner with peers in Product, Engineering, Program Management, Data Governance and with key business units to develop a scalable support model within the data lifecycle for our models, products and assets
  • Promote and celebrate the data organization via a multitude of channels (e.g. newsletters, Slack announcements)
  • Educate and enlighten data stakeholders with newly available objects and models that will unlock product and business insights
  • Establish end-user personas and voices to integrate within the data operations support model
  • Assist Business Data Analysts and Engineers in triaging data questions, bugs and issues from end-users
  • Clearly understand and communicate changes to underlying data models and definitions to determine impact to key assets such as executive dashboards
  • Work with Business Data Analysts to understand key domain priorities, business metrics and insights that span the various product units
  • Solicit feedback from end-users on adoption, engagement, usage, etc. of the CIC data assets and visualizations

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 5+ years of experience in data operations, product management, product operations or a similar background
  • Tenacity to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, inspire change and collaborate with a variety of individuals and organizational partners
  • Quickly establish solid relationships and build trust with partners and stakeholders to gain confidence in CIC data and assets
  • Excellent business acumen and emotional intelligence in ambiguous environments
  • BA or higher, preferred; additional relevant work experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!    

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Third party web analytics tools (Heap, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
  • Cloud based data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.)
  • Paywall, subscription or authentication based products

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$124,000—$186,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $139,000—$209,000 USD
