The mission of our data team at Red Ventures to make data easy-to-use for everyone. We are hiring DataOps associate who are excited to overcome challenges, work with the latest AWS technologies, and continue making our data better. The Data Operations team at Red Ventures drive business value by transferring and structuring data for production and consumption by engineers, businesses, analysts, data scientists and partners. You will join a Data Operations team of highly skilled engineers who develop and automate high-quality, scalable solutions across the entire data lifecycle, from raw data to powerful insights and analytics.
What You'll Do
- Extracts, cleanses, and validates data; troubleshoots and proposes fixes;
- Writes code that matches provided design and assists with ETL processes
- Manage alerting and monitoring on jobs and systems
- Provides technical consulting to users of data warehouse; ensures data availability and accessibility for end users by developing and maintaining the appropriate tools and processes
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communicator – able to communicate clearly and proactively and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Understands database technologies and team's tech stack (AWS, Spark, Scala, Java, Python)
- Strong analytical problem solving skills; ability to maintain and debug data systems with little oversight
- Strong business domain knowledge, ability to translate business requirements/requests to technical tasks
- Develops advanced, efficient, and accurate logic using 1 programming or ETL language (Python, SQL, Java)
- Spark, working in RDDs and DataFrames/Datasets API (with emphasis on DataFrames) to query and perform data manipulation
- Spark Structured Streaming
- Experience with any version control, preferably Github
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, we use AWS (Kinesis, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, terraform)
- Has experience with ANSI SQL relational database (Oracle, SQL, Postgres, MySQL)
- Reliably delivers assigned tasks with limited supervision, may begin to deliver tightly scoped small projects independently
- Collaborates with immediate team to support broader team initiatives
- Collaborates with business end users and engineering team to maintain data warehouse and debug data issues
- At least 3 years of experience working on a software or data engineering team OR relevant BS degree in Computer Science or Mathematics

Compensation
- Cash Compensation Range: $80,000 - $120,000 *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
