Marketing Intern

Sumo Logic is seeking an analytical and enthusiastic Marketing intern to join the Marketing team. This position will contribute to the organization’s goals to support and scale campaigns, events and partner programs designed to engage our prospects, customers, and partners and support overall pipeline and revenue goals. 

The Marketing Intern will learn the ins and outs of marketing and campaign execution, working hands-on with the Sumo Logic Team. Additionally, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the Sumo Logic Marketing team (Field Marketing, Global Campaigns, Partner Marketing, Digital, Brand, Product Marketing…) to help with projects.

The candidate must be able to anticipate program needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines and work cross-functionally. This role will also be responsible for various administrative and development tasks, as needed. The intern is expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week and commit to a minimum of three months, with the potential to extend beyond with manager approval.  As time permits, the Marketing Intern may also work on 1-2 long-term, strategic projects.

 What You’ll Do & How You’ll Drive Impact

  • Assist the DG team with the execution of marketing programs, including list imports, data cleanliness, asset creation, campaign development and other logistical elements 
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing teams to help execute programs
  • Assemble Pre & Post Event and Program Data 
  • Research current trends and innovations to recommend the best event-related strategies 
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring performance of various TechStack solutions

 

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • Working knowledge of Excel and Google Workspace
  • We will provide enablement to learn Asana, Salesforce.com, Splash and more
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Passion and ability to work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and under tight deadlines
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Preferred experience or internships on Marketing teams for SaaS companies
  • Ideally, you are working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or similar

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected hourly pay for this position is approximately $17/hour. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
