About us  

At Modulr our mission is to move money efficiently to power business productivity. We are building a new digital payments service to make money flow more efficiently through businesses and the economy. This is a new type of payments account that is built for businesses that need faster, easier and more reliable ways to move money. 

Our flexible platform and innovate approach allows our customers to utilise our payments account instead of a traditional bank account. Our accounts come with a sort code and account number, access to payment systems (eg Faster Payments and Visa) and everything our customers need from a payments account. They can instantly open as many accounts as they need, automate how they make and receive payments as well as the reconciliation processes these create. All in real time, 24/7 through their own systems utilising our API that integrates into any platform. 

Our founding team has a wealth of experience in the payments industry and growing successful businesses. Modulr is backed by payments giants PayPal Ventures and FIS Ventures, as well as startup and scale up specialists Blenheim Chalcot, General Atlantic, Frog and Highland Europe which enables us to leverage their resources and expertise to drive our growth initiatives. The role  

Modulr provides payment solutions to thousands of small businesses directly and through a range of channel partners including Accountants, Bookkeepers, Accounting Software and Payroll Software providers. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a digital engagement manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of our ambitious growth strategy. Driven by data, you will quickly iterate and methodically improve performance across all areas of the prospect and customer lifecycle.   

We are looking for a self-starter, who is not afraid to champion and implement innovative ideas and who is excited by the prospect of leading Modulr’s digital engagement in one of its fastest growing segments.  The Modulr SME team works directly and with a range of channel partners including Accountants, Bookkeepers, Accounting Software and Payroll Software providers to deliver payment solutions to thousands of small businesses across the UK.  As part of the Modulr SME leadership team, you will be responsible for the performance and optimisation of the end-to-end customer journey. You will champion iterative testing and performance management across a variety of channels and achieve this by partnering with other internal and external teams.   

Key responsibilities 

Digital journey leadership:  

  • Own the performance management of the end-to-end customer journey that delivers high sales conversion and incremental growth over the lifetime of the customer.  
  • Implement and manage digital communication and marketing automation strategies for lead nurture, acquisition, customers engagement and retention.  
  • Liaise with product management and marketing to optimise performance across all areas of digital engagement.  

Portfolio Management and Reporting:   

  • Develop a reporting suite to track performance across the lifecycle and that informs future commercial and marketing plans. Collaborate with our data specialists to derive actionable insights for business growth.  
  • Provide ongoing weekly and monthly performance reporting and revenue impact, including tracking KPIs measure success to inform future commercial and marketing plans.   
  • Collaborate with internal teams on proposals to enhance the customer experience, operating as the customer advocate, ensuring they receive a premium experience. that drives high initial conversion and incremental growth over the lifetime of the customer.  
  • Implement and manage digital communication and marketing automation strategies for lead nurture, acquisition, customers engagement and retention. Liaise with product and content marketing to optimise performance across all areas of digital engagement.                                             

Digital and new media strategy:  

  • Leverage their experience to define and develop strategies that optimise our investment in a variety of channels, working closely with the Marketing team to optimise performance.   

Development of test and learn methodologies that deliver commercial results:  

  • Lead data-driven initiatives on user journey analysis and marketing / content effectiveness.  
  • Provide insight into content development and enhancement opportunities to the wider marketing team to improve engagement, and conversion.  
  • Work closely with Product Managers to help optimise and develop the digital customer experience across the journey.  

 About you 

You will have a track-record of delivering results in a fast-moving business where complexity and ambiguity is the norm, and the ideal candidate will have: 

  • 3+ years’ experience managing and optimising digital customer journeys.  
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes.  
  • Experience operating with and influencing multi-functional teams to deliver projects that will enhance the customer experience and deliver incremental revenue.  
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills – you will contribute to regular working design sessions with the team and will need to be able to clearly communicate your ideas, and the potential benefits, to various stakeholders including product managers and engineers.  
  • Experience working in SME or consumer digital journey roles is preferable.
