About the roleWe're looking for a creative and collaborative leader who excels at the intersection of growth, marketing, finance, and data. In this high-impact role, you'll report directly to the SVP of Growth & Planning and work with teams and partners to shape long-term strategies, launch initiatives that drive subscriber growth, and guide budget planning to maximize ROI. You'll help turn ideas into action—balancing strategy, analytics, and execution to scale Crunchyroll's global impact.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Investment & Budget Planning
- Lead marketing investment planning, budgeting, and executive reporting across brand, performance, and lifecycle teams.
- Build dynamic budget models using performance data, ROI analysis, and growth goals.
- Ensure transparency and alignment between Growth, Finance, and Analytics teams.
AI & Marketing Innovation
- Support the use of AI and machine learning in marketing decisions, including media mix, budget reallocation, and forecasting.
- Identify and run pilot programs with potential to scale across Sony's ecosystem.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Align Growth teams on goals, budgets, and business plans.
- Partner with the SVP on executive communications, business reviews, and board materials.
Forecasting & ROI Optimization
- Lead forecasting, scenario planning, and performance tracking with Analytics and Finance.
- Turn marketing data into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
Performance & Incrementality Strategy
- Design and run incrementality tests with channel managers.
- Use test results and attribution insights to improve campaigns and reallocate spend for higher ROI.
- Monitor KPIs and adjust budget strategy based on performance, content calendar, and seasonality.
We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Dallas office.
About YouWe get excited about candidates, like you, because...
- 12+ years of experience in consulting, analytics, or finance—bonus if it's in OTT, global B2C, or international markets
- Have sharp analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience building models, business cases, and clear, compelling decks
- Speak both data and strategy—turning AI insights, testing results, and budget performance into smart, high-impact decisions
- Know how to influence and align partners at all levels
- Communicate clearly and confidently, whether you're sharing insights or driving consensus
- Are excited by anime, entertainment, or pop culture
- MBA or equivalent experience in business, analytics, or a related field preferred
Crunchyroll's Growth Planning and Budget Allocation team will be responsible for both planning, tracking and allocating budgets across various functions (e.g. brand, performance marketing, lifecycle marketing) of the growth team to ensure we spend towards the highest ROI initiatives. This team will work closely with analytics (CDI), finance (FP&A), marketing/growth and regional teams to continue to level up our budget allocation/tracking and free trial/paid subscriber tracking/forecasts, and lead the weekly growth meetings and initiative tracking process.
