We currently have an exciting and highly impactful opportunity for a Director, Market Development, to join our Go to Market organization in the US. This role will report directly to the SVP of Global Marketplace business, defining the strategy and owning the actual growth plans for two exciting Go to market domains: North America and Global marketplace business. On a daily basis, Director, Market Development will work closely with cross-functional and truly global teams in Product, R&D, Ops, Compliance, marketing and regional go to market organizations in China, Asia Pacific, Europe, Americas, India and Middle East by conducting comprehensive market trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, customer and partner insight discovery.  

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in management consulting from one of the top firms, strive in analytical problem solving, effective executive level communication and excellent ability to synthesize large set of data, and generate insights for executive decision making. This person will also be able to hit the ground running, so payment and/or fintech background will be preferred.

This role will be based in our New York, NY office on a hybrid reporting basis.

What you’ll do:

Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation

  • Creating strategic business plans and initiatives to drive growth including customer acquisition, retention, and revenue and ARPU impacts. Budget planning and headcount resource consolidation and allocation based on ROI modelling.

Global Enterprise Advocacy

  • Communicate the unique challenges and opportunities faced by the North America and Global Enterprise business, ensuring these unique perspectives are considered in decision-making and strategy development. This is done by fostering collaboration with stakeholders and decision makers in different departments and demonstrating leadership in driving common goals (revops, commission, FP&A, data, product)

Be the Thought Leader

  • Defining company-wide strategy and initiatives for the Payer, enterprise, and marketplace business. Clearly articulating the short-term and long term opportunities and challenges through executive presentations, stakeholder workshops and regular business reviews. Using data, voice of customer and partners and market insights as the levers to persuade, influence and drive corporate strategic directions

 Data Analysis and Storytelling

  • Leading monthly and quarterly business reviews to communicate business performance to leadership. Collaborating with analytics on data accuracy, tools and further analysis needs of the region. Communicating business performance to rest of the company in regular cadence

What we’re looking for:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or MBA from a top program is preferred
  • 5+ years proven business experience in consulting, strategic planning or general management
  • Someone who is excited about driving changes and making impacts
  • Effective executive communication, both verbally and in written formats
  • Proven track record of business problem solving, strong in business plan execution
  • Strong Experience working with Excel (pivot, v-lookup, charts), PowerPoint and Word
  • Proactive and self-motivated that can work autonomously
  • A collaborative team player who has the superpower to work with globally distributed colleagues and deliver top quality work
  • Payment and/or fintech background is a plus
  • Management consulting background from one of the top firms is a strong plus

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $160,000 - $200,000.
