SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

 

As the Director of Business Intelligence, you will manage Pure Storage’s Integrated Operations (IOPS) Business Intelligence development and analytics teams and be responsible for the strategy, operations and insights being delivered by the organization. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee all data, dashboarding/reporting, and analytics activities across the IOPS and go-to-market organization. This role will report directly to the Director of Integrated Operations Strategy, Business Intelligence and Analytics and is based at our Santa Clara headquarters. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…

 

  • Develop and execute the IOPS analytics and BI vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with go-to-market goals and outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a team of 15+ BI Analysts and Developers, located in key regions worldwide, in designing, developing, and maintaining robust BI infrastructure and systems.
  • Ensure effective data governance and ownership across Pure Storage IOPS functions and teams.
  • Develop and appropriately apply data quality standards to ensure the integrity of business insights and information being delivered.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making at all organizational levels by disseminating critical insights.
  • Manage IOPSBI systems, tools, and enterprise data warehouses that consolidate data from various internal and external sources.
  • Drive and oversee the design and development of business insights, dashboards, reports, and other analytics models to business stakeholders and teams to help drive informed decision-making.
  • Govern key data and analytics initiatives from conception through implementation, upholding processes, data quality standards, and best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to grow and optimize IOPSBI and analytics capabilities to support growth, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in BI, data analytics and data visualization to maximize their impact on the organization.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), partnering with business strategy leads to prioritize and refine requirements.
  • Collaborate with business partners and ensure business needs are translated into reporting requirements, always seeking opportunities for process improvements, revenue optimization and cost efficiencies through data-driven initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate BI findings, recommendations, and insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE…

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field is required.Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years overseeing analytics/BI teams with experience in managing globally distributed teams (India).
  • Expert knowledge of BI technologies and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Expert understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and data quality principles.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing, launching, and maintaining effective BI operations and standards in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate analytics into concrete business recommendations and actions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on mentorship, talent development, and team empowerment.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to deliver complex initiatives and manage stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities for executive and global audiences.
  • Experience with cloud analytics solutions and leading organizational adoption.
  • Passion for leveraging data to drive better business performance.

The annual base salary range is: $200,000.00 - $320,000.00. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
