Betsson Group is looking to hire a Director of Compliance to join our team in Malta, reporting directly to our General Counsel for Betsson Operations.

You'll work closely with a dedicated team of approximately 30 individuals, including a Head of Regional Compliance. Responsibilities:
- Directing and managing the Compliance vertical, encompassing Regional Compliance, Technical Compliance, Compliance Governance, and related matters such as ensuring business compliance with laws and regulations across corporate and gaming sectors.
- Overseeing the interpretation and management of technical and non-technical requirements specific to each business license, including expansion into new markets.
- Supervising the development and maintenance of compliance policies within the department.
- Identifying and advising on internal and external compliance and regulatory risks to the General Counsel, offering solutions with support from relevant team members.
- Managing identified risks from business risk assessments, ensuring closure with collaboration from relevant stakeholders.
- Identifying training needs within the team and across the business, collaborating with the Deputy General Counsel and advising the General Counsel accordingly.
- Managing the Compliance team budgets and overseeing required projects and initiatives.
- Liaising directly with Betsson AB management on compliance and regulatory matters, supporting the General Counsel as needed, in collaboration with the Deputy General Counsel.
Requirements:
- A law degree from a reputable European University
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the iGaming industry, at a Director or equivalent level
- Possess a robust understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards within the iGaming sector.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is required. Additional proficiency in other languages, particularly those relevant to key jurisdictions in the iGaming industry, is highly advantageous.
- Occasional international travel flexibility required.
