At Pinterest we are building a world-class sales team, enabling our largest and most strategic partners to best utilize Pinterest advertising products to grow their business. As the Director, Sales for CPG, you'll be responsible for leading a team of Industry Managers, Client Partners, and Client Account Managers. In setting forth the overall sales strategy for your industry segment, you’ll work closely with Sales and Ad Product leadership, Engineering, Marketing, Creative, Insights, Measurement, and Business Development teams to drive growth for this channel.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the holistic Canadian CPG business at Pinterest
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop an industry strategy that enables premiere ad product adoption, meets partner marketing objectives, scales partner media investment, and creates meaningful and sustainable revenue growth
  • Guide the creation of strategic business plans, persuasive pitches, and presentations that demonstrate the value of Pinterest to clients
  • Understand and articulate macroeconomic conditions specific to Canada, within a global context
  • Partner closely with Sales Operations and Measurement teams to analyze data trends and client performance, as to scale shared learnings and best practices to grow client’s business through Pinterest solutions
  • Consult with Product Marketing, Ad Product, and Engineering teams to influence product development in support of vertical needs
  • Further established relationships and develop new relationships with industry CEOs, CMOs, and other key executive decision makers
  • Shape the future of our Sales organization by building, training and motivating a high performing sales team

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven success as a sales leader across revenue strategy, sales productivity, and industry partnerships
  • 15+ years of experience in the digital media industry with a proven track record for influencing cross functional teams 
  • Experience managing through change in a hyper growth environment, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes, and systems
  • Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes
  • Demonstrated experience using sales data and trends to develop winning strategies
  • Strong ability to mentor individual contributors in order to advance team performance, health, and culture
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate insights, product information, and data into key client objectives
