The Databricks enablement team is seeking a Technical Enablement Leader who is passionate about empowering people and driving technical excellence. This leader will design and execute strategies that elevate the technical depth of our Field Engineering (FE) organization, enabling teams to build trusted advisor relationships with customers and establish thought leadership in Data & AI.

This role requires deep technical expertise in Data & AI, a systems thinking mindset, and a people-first approach to learning and enablement. You will build and grow a team of technical enablers, creating engaging, scalable programs that deliver measurable impact. Success in this role depends on balancing technical and product knowledge independence with strong cross-functional collaboration with curriculum, credentials, delivery, platform, and regional teams to drive efficiency and alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop & Execute Enablement Strategy: Design and implement people-centric, scalable enablement programs that strengthen technical depth across Field Engineering.
  • Build & Lead a High-Impact Team: Recruit, develop, and mentor a team of technical enablers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical curiosity.
  • Drive Thought Leadership: Establish frameworks that position FE as trusted technical advisors and thought leaders in Data & AI.
  • Deliver Measurable Impact: Ensure enablement initiatives have clear success metrics and directly contribute to business outcomes.
  • Strategic Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with curriculum, credentials, platform, and regional teams to optimize enablement efforts.
  • Earn Trust with Key Stakeholders: Build credibility with product teams, BU leaders/Tech GMs, and other critical stakeholders to align enablement with business priorities.
Required Qualifications
  • Deep technical expertise in Data & AI, with hands-on experience in AI/ML, cloud, or big data technologies.
  • Strong systems thinking mindset to design holistic, scalable enablement programs.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders across product, sales, and field organizations.
  • Proven experience in technical enablement, managing field readiness and role excellence, or Learning and Enablement at scale.
  • Passion for enablement and people development, with a focus on fostering technical growth.
  • Leadership experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Data-driven approach to measuring learning success and continuously improving impact.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Pre-Sales roles.
  • Prior work in enablement or education strategy within a technical organization.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex concepts simply.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
