Why Pure

At Pure Storage, we recognise that our distributor community is a critical engine for scaling our business and delivering our innovative Enterprise Data Cloud vision globally. We are committed to making the experience our distributors have with Pure the best in the industry.

As an Inside Distribution Account Manager (iDAM), you will be the primary operational and programmatic liaison for our distributors. This role is essential for ensuring smooth daily operations, maximizing distributor participation in Pure programs, and contributing directly to the efficiency and growth of our Channels organization. You will leverage strong operational acumen and relationship skills to drive distributor satisfaction and help them successfully position Pure's brand and portfolio.

You will join a focused, fast-paced team that thrives on continuous improvement and operational excellence, offering significant opportunities to grow into strategic account management or channel marketing roles.

The Role

The Inside Distribution Account Manager (iDAM) is a key operational and support role within the Global Partner Organization (GPO). This position focuses on providing diverse, day-to-day assistance to our distributor community, encompassing system support, deal registration management, programmatic guidance, and process streamlining. The iDAM is directly responsible for ensuring distributors operate efficiently and feel fully supported by Pure.

What You'll Do

  • Own Operational Efficiency: Act as the primary operational point of contact for the distributor community, fielding and redirecting inbound queries to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Manage Deal Flow & Registration: Execute the full lifecycle of deal registration approvals, rejections, extensions, and reassignments, maintaining quick turnaround times and accuracy.
  • Provide System Expertise: Resolve distributor-facing platform issues, including managing portal access, troubleshooting logins, and acting as the central point person for CPQ issues (e.g., license allocation).
  • Drive Program Adoption & Enablement: Clearly communicate and explain distributor program details, proactively providing updates on progress toward meeting requirements and assisting with access to required training and certifications.
  • Optimize Channel Pipeline: Contribute to pipeline hygiene through consistent qualification and cleanup activities within Salesforce.
  • Enhance Business Insights: Generate necessary reporting for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and ROI analysis, and assist in preparing distribution-focused presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Support Channel Marketing: Drive high partner attendance at distributor marketing events and ensure diligent follow-up post-event to maximize sales opportunity conversion.
  • Streamline Processes: Critically assess operational workflows, identify areas for improvement, and document new processes to enhance distributor ease of business.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Staines office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

What You'll Bring

  • Operational Acumen: Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex internal systems (e.g., CRMs like Salesforce and Partner Portals) and a keen eye for improving business processes.
  • Distributor/Channel Mindset: Understanding of the indirect sales model and the critical role of distribution partners in a technology ecosystem.
  • Service & Support Excellence: Proven ability to manage a high volume of diverse inquiries, acting as a reliable and responsive liaison to maintain high partner satisfaction.
  • Communication & Clarity: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex program details and operational steps.
  • Data & System Discipline: Experience with managing sales data, performing pipeline hygiene, and using reporting tools to support business reviews.
  • Proactive Initiative: A self-starter attitude with the drive to take ownership of issues and pursue resolutions, coupled with strong time management skills to handle competing priorities.
