Editorial Assistant (Viator)
Viator is searching for an enthusiastic Editorial Assistant to join its global content team. This position is ideal for a candidate who’s as happy writing as they are carrying out the behind-the-scenes work that goes into running a large-scale content operation. The coordinator is mostly focused on optimizing existing content, distributing content across various channels, and carrying out content support tasks. The coordinator also works closely with in-house editors to write and publish new content—and this is where the coordinator’s love for travel is essential.
Responsibilities

Work in a web-based content management system (CMS) to create and update content.

Publish new and rewritten content, ranging from articles to lander overviews.

Optimize existing content, including making factual or stylistic updates to pages.

Promote new and existing content across Viator’s various distribution channels.

Write and proofread content for a range of Viator’s content-focused pages.

Support assigning for projects spanning all content verticals.

Support resolving content and taxonomy mapping issues.

Improve page and asset metadata, including structured data and tagging.

Source, crop, and publish photos.

Provide content and support for other projects as needed.
Job Requirements

1+ years of professional writing experience (writing samples required), copywriting experience preferred.

Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, writing, or related field.

Superb communicator who can write effective, concise copy to maximize conversion.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and pivot between a variety of projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.

Strong researcher with a passion for accuracy; fact-checking and proofreading skills preferred.

Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.

Familiarity with AP Style and writing in American English.

Experience working with CMS.
