Role: Email and Web Editor

Location:Hybrid / x1 day per week at Oliver's HQ + x1 day per week onsite at client's office based in Blackfriars, London

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client (an internationally known B2B organisation), the Email and Web Editor will play a key role in developing, creating and monitoring email and website activities. We operate a dedicated Digital Centre of Excellence within our clients’ pharmaceutical division. The Digital Centre of Excellence exists to drive, embed and exploit digital best practice. 

The role of the Email and Web Editor will be to reach, engage and grow audiences by developing and executing multi-channel campaigns that are designed to drive and convert quality leads. This role is crucial to deliver on our client’s ambition to offer a best-in-class digital customer experience. 

You will be part of a team of 8 within the Digital Centre of Excellence where you will contribute towards specific KPI targets, such as website visits, website and email traffic conversation, and website and email marketing sales leads. You will be working in collaboration with the wider marketing team (approximately 34 in the team), and you will be expected to work closely with our client’s other external agencies and partners. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

When it comes to email marketing, you will work with the Email Marketing Manager to identify and build audience segments, where you will be responsible for creating and building email campaigns using the Eloqua marketing automation tool. You will contribute to the creation and building of digital communications to our client’s pharmaceutical audience via our client’s digital marketing channels - ensuring effective and accurate audience targeting. You will support the Email Marketing Manager on evaluating and reporting on all email campaigns, with the ability to spot and identify opportunities for optimisation, A/B testing and ongoing channel improvements and efficiencies. 

When it comes to website content management, you will be responsible for updating and maintaining our client’s websites, creating, and publishing new content pages, implementing A/B tests, testing and optimising webpages, and ensuring that the website content is being published as per agreed schedules. You will work with multiple campaign owners across the marketing team to ensure their digital is optimised for effective end-user performance. You will support the Website Manager in creating and building the online presence for multiple digital products and services that our client offers, as well as evaluating and reporting on website performance and analytics. 

 

 WHAT IS REQUIRED: 

  • Good knowledge of digital marketing and the role that each digital channel plays in the digital marketing ecosystem.  
  • Supporting the Email Marketing Manager in the planning, creation, and delivery of highly targeted and audience specific digital campaigns. 
  • The ability to effectively measure email marketing campaign performance within the Eloqua email marketing platform. 
  • Contribution towards specific digital marketing content KPI targets with the ability to measure content strategy in line with ongoing performance. 
  • Support in the implementation of marketing automation initiatives that are designed to nurture new audiences via the creation of highly personalised and useful content, that results in the conversion of leads to members. 
  • Creating and building the online presence for new digital products and services for our pharmaceutical client where you will be designing and updating website content and launching new websites. 
  • Updating and maintaining digital content across all our client’s websites. 
  • Supporting the Website Manager in maintaining the websites sitemaps. 
  • Experience with the Adobe Experience Manager content management system or similar CMS systems. 
  • Beginner to intermediate technical skills, such as HTML and CSS coding and troubleshooting, and other programming languages. 
  • You will work closely with the Email Marketing Manager and Website Manager, while collaborating with the wider team to deliver their digital campaigns. 
  • Partner with the Creative Team to ensure creative assets developed meet the needs of the performance marketing plan, including opportunities to test and learn with audiences. 
  • Knowledge of wider analytical techniques and ability to build regular reports for all email and web performance metrics. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable. 
  • Maintain clear communication, expectations and timelines with internal teammates and external partners on deliverables. 
  • Curiosity to identify and spot insights and the ability to implement best practice across email marketing and website management. 
  • A detail-driven, self-starting, and critical mindset, with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time.

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Beginning to intermediate knowledge of CRM, first-party data analytics and how this integrates with broader owned, earned, and paid digital marketing channels.
  • Experience of building and sustaining meaningful client partnerships.
  • Being results driven, and having the understanding of delivering against business plans that are driven by growth targets.
  • Having the confidence to collaborate and influence 3rd party agencies.
  • Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken.
  • Having an agency background and working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in B2B and multiple industry sectors.
  • Experience of Martech solutions would be useful.
  • 2+ years of relevant digital marketing experience.
