Role: Email Marketing Manager 

Location:Hybrid / Blackfriars, London (onsite 2-3 times per week)

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Email Marketing Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing email marketing campaigns that help to promote our client’s brand, products, and services. We have been appointed to create a Digital Centre of Excellence within the clients’ pharmaceutical practice. The Digital Centre of Excellence will drive and embed digital best practices. Will own the development and strategy of digital channels. And will understand and grow audience and engagement through all digital touchpoints. The Email Marketing Manager will have a primary role to reach, engage and grow audiences by developing and executing segmented email campaigns that drive awareness of our client’s brand and their digital products offering. You will be expected to drive and convert quality leads via the audiences that you target via email communications. This is an excellent role for candidates who have strong relevant experience and are excited about using their skills alongside strong marketing and sales teams to help drive best in class digital marketing. 

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

You will be part of a team of 13 within the DCoE where it will be your responsibility for contributing towards specific KPI targets, including total leads generated and total conversions. You will be working in collaboration with the wider marketing team (approximately 34 in the team) and you’ll be expected to work closely with our client’s other external agencies and partners. 

 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for building audiences and email campaigns our client’s email marketing automation tool. They use Eloqua for creating and delivering their emails. You will create, deliver, and monitor, communications to our client’s pharmaceutical audience. You will have an analytical mindset and the ability to plan the customer digital communication strategy. 

WHAT IS REQUIRED: 

  • Plan, create, deliver and measure highly targeted, audience specific customer email campaigns. 
  • Maximise the collection and usage of the client’s first-party data in a responsible and compliant manner. 
  • Adept at the implementation of email marketing automation to create campaigns to nurture new audiences and the creation of highly personalised, useful content that helps convert leads to members. 
  • Strategically advise the team on engaging content for a variety of formats and channels, including for email, whitepapers, blogs, and social media. 
  • An advanced knowledge of CRM, first-party data analytics and how this integrates with broader owned, earned and paid channels.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Strategy & Planning Marketing Leaders to intake regional campaign strategies, stories, and KPIs.  
  • Partner with Creative to ensure creative assets developed meet the needs of the performance marketing plan, including opportunities to test and learn with audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable.
  • An understanding of how to A/B test across email, how to optimise and the role that this plays.
  • Maintain clear communication, expectations and timelines with internal teammates and external partners on deliverables.
  • Curiosity to identify insights and best practices to read and continually optimise performance based on results.
  • Detail-driven, self-starting, and critical mind with the ability to handle multiple projects at once

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Experience of building and sustaining meaningful client partnerships whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus. 
  • Results driven – creation of and delivery against business plans driven by growth targets. 
  • Confident working autonomously with partner or 3rd party agencies. 
  • Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken. 
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service. 
  • Experienced using website content management platforms and web analytics. 
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical sector would be a benefit, B2B experience is a must. 
  • Experience of the Eloqua email platform and Adobe Analytics would be desirable. 
  • Strong relevant digital marketing experience.
