Role: EMEA Statutory Accounting Manager (FTC - 3 months)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Remote)

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the EMEA Statutory Accounting Manager will be part of a Finance Team supporting 18 markets within EMEA. The region is led by the London based team. The region is fast growing, with well-known and exciting clients. Local Finance teams support our bigger markets with the smaller markets managed centrally from London. This role will help manage our statutory accounts compliance process across EMEA and work with our local finance teams to ensure timely completion and accurate reconciliations maintained. You will also be involved in other compliance areas and help support our growth towards a high standard of regulatory compliance across the group. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Manage the statutory accounts compliance process for the EMEA region 
  • Prepare reconciliations between statutory accounts and management accounts  
  • Be a key relationship manager with our global compliance provider 
  • Work with our Tax Team on compliance reporting requirements (such as annual corporate income tax returns and monthly filing of VAT submissions) 
  • Support the team from a compliance perspective including with registration of any new entities plus changes to existing entities. 
  • Support the wider Finance Team with ad-hoc reporting and requests relating to statutory accounts and compliance 
  • Help develop and drive continuous improvement, standardisation of processes, and support implementation of initiatives across EMEA.  

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Fully Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) – essential  
  • Statutory/Financial Accounts Preparation Experience – essential 
  • Experience reconciling between Statutory Accounts & Management Accounts – essential
  • Strong working knowledge of Direct/Indirect Taxes – essential
  • High attention to detail – essential  
  • Experience working with international markets – highly desirable  
  • US GAAP and SOX Compliance Experience – desirable but not essential  
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and confident in dealing with people of all levels
  • Knowledge of Accounting Systems (Xero, Workday Adaptive Planning experience is desirable)
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Ability to present financial information clearly
  • Organised with the ability to implement and maintain systems
  • Be adaptive to changing requests and priorities
  • Ability to self-start and manage deliverables independently
