What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the Delegation team to build the most seamless onboarding experience for MetaMask users. You will be working directly with one of the founders of MetaMask and a team of experienced Solidity developers on researching and implementing a variety of novel use cases that facilitate a secure user experience.
This role will be responsible for leading the team and helping establish the processes and structures necessary to deliver on our ambitions.
Responsibilities will include- Research, experiment with, and advise on implementing delegation in MetaMask.
- Involve in all the necessary steps to bring delegation to market.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager, Lead Engineers and Program Managers to ensure that the team is delivering on its roadmap.
- Directly manage and maintain close working relationships with all the team’s engineers.
- Mentor engineers and help them establish career development plans.
- Direct and help with engineering hiring efforts within MetaMask.
- Take ownership of the team's engineering processes and culture.
- Help maintain high morale and performance on the team.
- Establish systems for monitoring the health of the engineering team.
- Make development contributions so as to maintain "fluency" in the MetaMask codebase.
- Partner with other Engineering Managers within MetaMask to drive the overall roadmap implementation forward and establish processes and practices that allow MetaMask to build and operate at a fast pace.
Would be great if you brought this to the role
- Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking) in English
- 2+ years of software engineering management experience
- Hiring management experience
- Agile software engineering experience
- Experienced in Solidity and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with EVM concepts such as multisig and ERC-1271
- Understanding of Ethereum and the blockchain ecosystem
- Passion for making seamless onboarding experiences for the next billion of blockchain users
- Proactive and self-driven to be successful working in a remote environment
- Ability to work during U.S. working hours, or have at least 4 hours of overlapping working hours with U.S. time zones (Eastern or Pacific time)

The salary range for US-based candidates only will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience and skills.
