Our Team

The HashiCorp Service Catalog and Governance Engineering team is tasked with building and maintaining a comprehensive service catalog and establishing governance around code licensing. This initiative aims to ensure that all software used and developed by HashiCorp meets legal and operational standards, enhancing our cloud infrastructure's efficiency and compliance. The team combines software engineering, cloud infrastructure engineering, and a deep understanding of licensing issues, focusing on tooling development, cloud optimization, and governance. Working closely with finance, product, and engineering, the team delivers outcomes that align with HashiCorp’s operational and compliance goals.

About this Role

This Engineering Manager role provides the opportunity to lead the development of our service catalog and code licensing governance, driving efficient and compliant use of cloud infrastructure across HashiCorp. You will mentor and grow your team, contributing hands-on while also fostering collaboration and agile project management.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Bring 8+ years of total experience with at least 1+ year in a management capacity.
• Direct the team’s strategies in building a service catalog and governance around code licensing to meet organizational objectives.
• Instill a culture focused on compliance and efficient decision-making within the engineering team.
• Develop user-centric solutions that enhance the effectiveness of our service catalog and governance practices.
• Lead initiatives for infrastructural efficiency and compliance improvements.
• Guide engineers and SREs towards professional development within a supportive environment.
• Coordinate with various departments to integrate service catalog and governance practices with broader business goals.
• Champion continuous improvement in service catalog development and governance processes.
