Okta is seeking an experienced Ethics & Compliance Program Manager to join its growing Ethics & Compliance team.  The Ethics & Compliance Program Manager will coordinate and support the operations of key processes overseen by Okta’s Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC) and will help scale Okta’s Ethics & Compliance program in a rapidly changing global environment.

 

Ethics & Compliance Program Manager

Reporting to the Director, Compliance & Investigations, you will help strategize and implement programs and processes to address evolving global compliance issues.  Partnering with teams across the organization, you will drive and support a broad range of programs and initiatives, including in the areas of legal ethics and compliance investigations, training, third-party due diligence, and conflicts of interest reviews, among others.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Develop, maintain, and provide ongoing support of existing and new legal compliance processes, especially those relating to conflicts of interest reviews, internal investigation processes, third-party due diligence, and program metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally to update training content around anti-bribery, trade compliance, code of conduct, and gifts, among other topics.
  • Continue to build Okta’s compliance brand and brainstorm innovative ways to provide relevant and engaging content to employees.
  • Partner with members of the Ethics & Compliance team and key stakeholders (Internal Audit, HR, etc.) to develop new processes to drive efficiency and help the company scale.
  • Manage the Ethics & Compliance internal webpage providing employees with information and resources on compliance issues.
  • Oversee collection of information and metrics for reporting to other internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with other Ethics & Compliance and Trade Compliance projects, as needed.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 7+ years of experience, including in a public company’s corporate compliance function;
  • Bachelor’s degree or above;
  • Strong ethics and integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality over sensitive compliance matters;
  • Familiarity with regulator’s guidance on effective corporate compliance programs;
  • Experience: assisting investigations and case management; working with training, compliance, and third-party risk management software; working with internal IT or engineering personnel to develop and test new systems, tools, processes, and workflow; and working, managing, and driving cross-functional projects to completion;
  • Flexible and able to balance multiple priorities at once and ability to quickly adjust priorities to meet business needs;
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, excellent problem-solving;
  • Strong presentation skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to build strong cross functional partnerships to drive results;
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides; 
  • Self-starter;
  • Sense of humor!

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$101,000—$168,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $126,000—$188,000 USD
