Executive recruiting at Databricks consists of a team of talent acquisition specialists who have invested their entire careers focused on helping their clients identify, attract, and hire the most qualified individuals for our clients.  We execute the most senior leadership and executive searches for the company, both high-profile and confidential. Our team is geographically distributed with the core group based in the SF Bay Area and London, UK. Collectively, we are responsible for identifying, attracting, and recruiting senior leaders who are transforming Databricks globally across all functions in this critical growth stage. Our clients are the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and their direct reports.  We are engaged in hiring executives ranging from Directors all the way to C-level executives across Engineering, Product, GTM, and G&A.

The Impact you’ll have:

The Executive Tech, Product, IT, and Security Sourcer will execute global searches for mission-critical roles. This Sourcer will partner with Executive Recruiters, hiring managers, business leaders, and HR business partners to set and drive strategy, goals, and processes for their searches.

Executive Tech Sourcer is responsible for:

  • Build and maintain pipelines of senior-level candidates for key leadership roles
  • Conduct market research and talent mapping to identify top executive talent across industries
  • Develop sourcing strategies to engage and attract high-caliber executive talent
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand business needs and hiring priorities
  • Provide competitive intelligence and insights on talent trends, organizational structures, and market dynamics
  • Utilize research tools, databases, and networking strategies to identify passive executive candidates
  • Track and analyze sourcing effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed to improve executive hiring outcomes
  • Calibrating and fine-tuning candidate profiles with hiring managers;
  • Gaining the trust of prospective candidates and developing them into active candidates.
  • Upholding DB’s hiring bar through rigorous screening, assessment, and reference checks;
  • Continually contributing to the knowledge base of the group by providing education on industries and market conditions;
  • knowledgeable industry sources to help develop a competitive advantage;

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a highly professional business environment, with experience recruiting executives at a top-tier executive search firm and/or executive recruiting organization, and advising/influencing executive leadership.  Management consulting, corporate advisory services, investment banking, research, or similar client-focused professional services experience is also acceptable.  
  • 10+ years of Recruiting/Sourcing experience, Recruiting for Technology profiles, and preferably for Software Engineering at multiple levels. Experience supporting global executive searches across multiple regions
  • The Exec Tech, Product, IT, and Security Sourcer will have a proven track record of being scrappy and able to fulfill the executive searches in a timely manner.
  • They will have highly developed conceptual skills - able to synthesize information quickly, understand various industries and functions, and be able to present material in an organized, concise, and clear manner;
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize projects and deliverables;
  • Experience managing a demanding workload, balancing multiple tasks, and switching gears while maintaining priorities;
  • The ability/agility to work with a number of constituencies on simultaneous projects;
  • Personal and business maturity that leads to confident and rational business decisions;
  • Demonstrable initiative and resourcefulness;
  • Ability to develop well-planned strategies and achieve goals within tight timelines;
  • Experience using technology competently in a business setting;
  • Experience researching information effectively through various channels.
  • Experience in executive search in-house at a tech company or at a retained search firm.
