The role

This is a great opportunity to join a high calibre finance team and make a tangible difference to the quality of our analysis and insights.  You’ll be a valued business partner to our Product organisation and the dedicated Finance resource for this team. This role will provide financial support to help steer our Product Groups as well as to understand the cost drivers in Product and their relationship with company success metrics.

What excites you:

  • Report monthly operating expenditure analysis with accompanying commentary to respective product group leadership teams.
  • Scope full suite of Finance support for the Product team and develop analysis that drives decision making.
  • Partly forward deployed into ‘Product Operations’, a Product team that supports the wider department in efficiently delivering strategic priorities.
  • Support teams in planning their headcount in the short and long term, balancing available budget with business needs.
  • Lead on the labour cost capitalisation process by gathering project data throughout the year and liaising with external tax consultants annually to determine a cost of time spent on R&D.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for data and analysis.
What excites us:
  • 3-4 years experience as a Finance Business Partner or Analyst within a FP&A (financial planning and analysis) function, ideally working with Product / Technology teams.
  • Willingness to learn basic principles of product lifecycle and approach to programme management. Including scoping of use cases, data requirements, dependencies and working in sprints.
  • Experience working with a range of cross functional stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of, or willingness to learn, labour cost capitalisation (ideally in a tech business).
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google sheets, including large data sets and analysis.
  • Experience working on forecasting / budget cycles including financial modelling.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and collaborative approach to working and ability to tailor communications for varying levels of finance literacy.
  • Motivated self starter who is comfortable working independently in a fast paced and changing environment.
