We’re looking for an exceptional FP&A Manager to lead and manage financial planning and analysis support for one or more business units.  This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive informed decision-making and achieve financial objectives. You will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to provide insights, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the execution of business strategies.

While working remotely or in a hybrid work arrangement, a blend of virtual (in accordance with Hootsuite’s distributed workforce strategy), and in Hootsuite’s Vancouver or Toronto office, you will report to Senior Director, Finance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own and manage all aspects of financial modeling for one or more dedicated business units, including scenario building, risk/opportunity assessment, and optimizing resource allocation
  • Support in establishing KPI’s and related monitoring processes, including driving the development of data and reporting infrastructure to effectively analyze, monitor and report on key business drivers
  • Develop and perform scenario modeling and analysis to help drive strategic decisions 
  • Drive monthly in-depth analysis providing visibility to management of variances from expectations with a focus on improving accuracy. Author clear narratives that describe business strategy and performance
  • Build trusted relationships with key business partners and develop the proper cadence and level of information to successfully analyze, forecast and report on performance
  • Continuously identify and assist with design and implementation of improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement related work processes including improving and simplifying processes, driving standardization, and building scalable solutions to support Hootsuite’s growth
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships cross-functionally and with key stakeholders in other departments
  • Support the delivery of key company-wide financial and strategic planning processes (e.g., annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning)
  • Play a key role in finance transformation projects and the development of scalable solutions for the business
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Extensive relevant software or SaaS experience in growth environments.
  • Professional accounting designation CPA, CFA, or an MBA; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Advanced modeling skills with the ability to swiftly and effectively translate ambiguity into succinct outputs
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
  • Strong attention to detail and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills with the ability to link business issues, financial results, and strategy and influence senior leadership
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs with minimal oversight

Canada Pay Range For This Role$96,100—$134,700 CAD
