Get to Know our Team

The Fraud Ops team aims to minimize fraud and payment disputes whilst ensuring minimal disruption to genuine guests. With 2.9m hotels and homes across 200+ Countries/territories, not to mention our flights and activities offerings, it’s no easy feat. You will be responsible for analyzing data and trends, identifying suspicious patterns and advise on best practices to prevent future losses. You will work closely with Ops management to execute the fraud operational risk management strategies.You should be analytical and data-driven to identify and present insights and work cross-functionally to implement recommendations that reduce losses due to fraud.

 

In This Role, You’ll get to

  • Work with Fraud Ops to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for analysis insight to inform their decision-making
  • Understand and report to your team and senior management on suspicious patterns
  • Ensure delivery of regular reports on time
  • Self-manage delivery of analytical projects
  • Defining the business problem
  • Determining the analytical approach
  • Efficiently extract relevant data
  • Appropriately use statistical and data analysis techniques
  • Sharing your findings using impactful data visualizations and efficient communication
  • Balance multiple priorities, updating stakeholders on progress and expected delivery
  • Encourage and train department members in best practice use of Agoda data, analysis techniques and interpretation
  • Positively contribute to our team’s culture
  • Identify gaps, as well as optimize and innovate existing controls

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

  • 2+ years’ experience in analytical data interpretation (preferably in fraud domain)
  • Highly organized and comfortable with making prioritization decisions, and ability to effectively keep track of moving parts across projects and adapt to new information and goals.
  • Competent problem solving, numerical and analytical skills.
  • SQL proficiency required: can extract data from large databases using SQL to develop data queries
  • Expert Excel user: able to understand and build complex spreadsheets 
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English (written & spoken).
  • Ability to adapt your working style to different situations and work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural environment
