The RV Education team is seeking an experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our growing software engineering team. Your communication skills will help drive collaboration with technical partners and external stakeholders to deliver cross-cutting, customer-centric solutions.

This role calls for a passionate individual who is skilled in systems integration, API development, and cloud programming. Moving away from legacy technologies and platforms is central to this role. Each day, you'll create, code and optimize applications and services in a workplace where you can see the impact of your ideas. We are all about teamwork, accountability, innovation, and a customer-first approach.

The right candidate for this role will be highly-organized and collaborative; with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. We work hard but do so in a collaborative, fun, and flexible work environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Build solutions that scale, are secure, and maintainable.
  • Integrate internal and external APIs performantly.
  • Actively pair-programming with teammates when they need help. Help mentor and develop less senior talent.
  • Collaborate with the product management team and other developers to deliver a quality product that meets business needs.
  • Use a DevOps model, utilizing metrics and monitoring to manage our services.
  • Continually look for opportunities to build value in the codebase: set standards, build tools, and automate jobs to make yourself and your team better and faster.
  • Add to a culture that loves experimentation, Agile development, and intellectual curiosity
  • Be part of building a positive team environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on development experience using a combination of JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, and Python.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB)
  • Experience building integrations with APIs spanning multiple different protocols (e.g. JSON/GraphQL).
  • Experience in version control tools like Git.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Experience building and maintaining unit tests
  • Experience building and optimizing a CI/CD pipeline
  • Growth Mindset: A relentless desire to learn and excel in a tech-driven environment
  • Solid communication skills for effective team collaboration, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Even Better:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency working with the cloud CI/CD infrastructure and components such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is ideal.
  • Experience working in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience with telemetry and monitoring such as New Relic or AWS Cloud Watch.
  • AWS Developer or Solutions Architect Certification
