As a QA Lead you will be responsible for building the QA strategy from the ground upwards, making sure that the proper frameworks and methodologies are used effectively as part of our development life cycle. You shall lead a team of talented QA Engineers whilst taking an active role in promoting a healthy team spirit and culture. As the person responsible for driving all QA efforts, your role shall be instrumental at achieving engineering excellence in the Gaming domain area

A taster of what you will be involved with
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA Automation Engineers working with the development teams, providing guidance and support to achieve automation goals.
  • Act as a line manager for QA Automation Engineers and assist management in the recruitment of QA Automation Engineers
  • Develop and maintain a robust Test Automation Framework for efficient and scalable test automation.
  • Own the architecture and design of the Test Automation Framework, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.
  • Introduce new technologies, standards, and industry best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with development teams to establish and improve the automation process during test preparation.
  • Review cross cutting requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Define and implement testing processes for new and existing products, including performance and penetration testing when necessary.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automation test scripts, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Oversee releases making sure that shipped artefacts are of the necessary quality.
  • Document existing test procedures whilst creating new ones where necessary to ensure repeatability and compliance with established testing standards.
  • Lead the implementation of automation testing procedures and continuously improve the QA automation process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to organizational objectives.
  • Provide high level effort and time estimates for automation testing activities within projects.
  • Maintain quality standards by identifying and documenting software defects, tracking their progress, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Prepare and deliver demo presentations for project deliverables when necessary.
  • Report directly to the Head of Engineering, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s QA strategy and objectives.

 

What we are looking for
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of automation engineers.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a QA Automation Engineer.
  • Experience with test management tools like TestRail
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, K8s)
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Expertise in test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices
  • Extensive experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Proficiency in API testing and knowledge of performance testing
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling
  • Understanding of the principles of shift-left testing and test-driven development (TDD)
  • Scripting skills for tasks like test data generation or test environment setup.
  • Good at communication with excellent written and spoken English.

 

Good to have
  • Exposure to mobile app automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Appium)
  • Strong programming skills, including advanced proficiency in an OOP language such as C# (preferred), Java etc.
  • Experience in the iGaming industry
  • Knowledge of high-volume transactional systems
  • Experience managing a multicultural geo-distributed team
