HashiCorp India Finance Centre of Excellence:

HashiCorp has its Finance Centre of Excellence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India to help HashiCorp’s USA headquarters and 15+ other countries where we have our legal entities. From India, we are independently handling/supporting multiple processes that include GL Accounting, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Revenue Accounting, Internal Controls, Payroll, Taxation, Travel Administration, FP&A, Reporting, Stock Admin, etc.

About the Role:

HashiCorp’s Finance team is looking for an experienced stock plan administrator to assist in the implementation and development of systems, processes, and equity plans. In this role, you will strategically partner with cross-functional stakeholders in the Legal, People, Accounting, and Finance teams. This position will report to the Director of stock Administration at HashiCorp.

 In this role, you can expect to:

  • Serve as a resource for participants' questions about all equity awards
  • Assist in the development and presentation of equity education initiatives
  • Assist in implementing mobility tax initiatives
  • Coordinate the rollout of equity programs
  • Support system and vendor implementations
  • Ensure compliance with US and foreign securities regulations and tax requirements
  • Administer global equity plans, including Stock Options, Restricted Stock Units, Performance Awards, and Employee Share Purchase Plans; process exercises and releases, cancellations, terminations, and ESPP enrollment, purchase and refund events
  • Reconcile monthly equity activity, including shares outstanding and share reserves between company records, and third-party vendors like brokers and transfer agents
  • Generate reports as needed for audit, tax, and legal/regulatory filing purposes
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure appropriate tax withholding, accounting and compliance, including global mobility tracking
  • Assist with the development of internal controls and the automation of equity processes

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s / professional degree in Accounting / Company Secretary
  • 3+ years in a role responsible for global equity administration at a publicly traded company
  • Certified Equity Professional Level I certification or higher preferred
  • Experience with various forms and filings with the SEC (Proxies, Section 16 Forms, executive compensation tables)
  • Experience implementing, and administering equity through Shareworks or Schwab
  • Experience working with AST or Computershare
  • Broad experience with different equity award forms across multiple international jurisdictions (e.g., RSU, stock options, and ESPP)
  • Understanding of US federal and state taxation, and a general knowledge of global taxation of equity transactions
  • Experience working cross-functionally on equity matters with colleagues in Legal, Finance, and People teams
  • Understanding of accounting standards relating to equity compensation
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with the US team daily.
  • Will be a huge advantage if the candidate has experience in any of the stock administration tools like e-trade, Fidelity, Shareworks, Schwab, etc.
  • Should have experience in handling queries from different groups - Employees, Payroll, HR, and Finance. #LI-Remote #LG-SG1
