This role can be based in New York City, Austin, or remotely anywhere in the U.S. 

Overview

This role will be a part of the Experimentation team that sits within the Digital & Growth Marketing organization at MongoDB. This individual will leverage their expertise in growth marketing experimentation to guide the team’s stakeholders in the development and execution of effective strategies, tactics, and operating processes that lead to impactful experiment and personalization results across our digital properties and acquisition channels.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work directly with Experimentation team and Marketing org to analyze core business problems and challenges, and craft testable solutions that drive impactful improvements and learnings
  • Work directly with the Experimentation team and Web Experience teams to source, plan, and execute growth experiments, and multi layered personalization campaigns focused on driving business outcomes in these areas: paid acquisition, organic acquisition, new feature exploration, registration conversion, product activation, monetization, churn reduction
  • Collaborate with the various growth, marketing, sales, and product stakeholders to define effective growth strategies that align directly with their goals 
  • Lead peers through effective workshops for insight problem discovery and solution ideation  
  • Lead cross functional growth efforts across various technical and marketing teams
  • Educate peers on core concepts of effective experimentation, such as: user problem discovery, hypothesis writing, and opportunity sizing
  • Quickly validate concepts by choosing the cheapest and most effective route to MVP versus over-engineering.
  • Once an experiment finishes, oversee the reporting, insights, recommendations and data storytelling process for each
  • Communicate the monthly/quarterly progress to internal leadership stakeholders in concise memo format
  • Offer ideas and feedback to help grow and scale the experimentation program and it’s capability to deliver impact 
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience managing growth marketing or experimentation programs
  • Must be capable of learning new technical concepts quickly, regularly, and be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Must have high attention to visual detail, can interpret specifications, can communicate detailed instructions, and can recognize edge cases that need to be addressed
  • Experience developing and executing experimentation programs for Growth Marketing teams
  • Experience working within an experimentation focused team or pod
  • Functional knowledge of A/B and CMAB experimentation approaches 
  • Experience with both web and in-product experimentation 
  • Knowledge of core statistical principles related to experimentation
  • Proficiency in developing frameworks for opportunity discovery and impact sizing to drive effective experimentation motions
  • Excellent working knowledge of common analytics platforms, including: Amplitude, Segment, Tableau, Google Analytics 
  • Experience building experiments within common CRO platforms such as Optimizely, AB Tasty, VWO
  • Familiarity within defining and aiming at quarterly OKRs, or similar approach 
  • Experience working fully remotely

  • Experience building progressive Personalization campaigns
  • Experience building Intellimize experiences
  • Experience building Airtable interfaces

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$70,000—$138,000 USD
