About the role

Cloudflare’s Self-Serve Team is looking for a highly-motivated Lifecycle Marketing Manager to take the lead on developing and executing marketing automations throughout the customer lifecycle. Your in-app optimizations and personalization campaigns will help accelerate time to value for new users, monetize free users, drive expansion, and maximize retention across our wide variety of products available on Cloudflare.com.

Our team is responsible for driving growth across Cloudflare’s large self-serve customer base. To do this, we employ a data-driven, product-led, experimentation-based approach to help customers experience the value of our products and adopt more of Cloudflare’s solutions. From strategy to reporting and from testing to execution - you’ll own in-app campaigns for our self-serve customers in addition to partnering with cross-functional GTM teams on a wide range of initiatives. What you'll do

  • Leverage your expertise in app analytics, UI/UX design and user testing to analyze funnel conversion data and make recommendations for optimizing the self-serve lifecycle and purchase funnels.
  • Conceptualize, ideate, create and test user-focused campaigns with the goal of increasing in-app user engagement, adoption and monetization.
  • Manage the design and deployment of tests and experiments and build Cloudflare’s in-app testing strategy for self-serve products.
  • Audit and troubleshoot event tracking in the app.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Cloudflare’s products, user personas, and various in-product customer journeys.
  • Collaborate with product teams, marketing engineering and marketing operations teams to ensure accurate deployment, tracking and measurement for your campaigns.
  • Develop and regularly report on KPIs related to both aggregate and individual campaigns that will help key stakeholders understand the overall performance of the channels you own and your impact over time.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Lifecycle Marketing, CRM, or Growth Marketing at SaaS companies.
  • 5+ years of running in-app tests and experiments
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and relevant working experience

  • Strong understanding of customer journeys and conversion funnels
  • Solid knowledge of customer/user psychology
  • An outcome-oriented mindset with a track record of driving actual business results (like user growth and revenue)
  • Experience evaluating, onboarding and managing external vendors, contractors and agencies

What Makes Cloudflare Special?

We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.

Project Galileo: We equip politically and artistically important organizations and journalists with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost.

Athenian Project: We created Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration.

Path Forward Partnership: Since 2016, we have partnered with Path Forward, a nonprofit organization, to create 16-week positions for mid-career professionals who want to get back to the workplace after taking time off to care for a child, parent, or loved one.

1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here’s the deal - we don’t store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.

Sound like something you’d like to be a part of? We’d love to hear from you!
