About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to lead a team of Commercial Managers and be responsible for the success of our network of delivery-only kitchens, Editions. As the Head of Editions, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of this business unit. This role requires strong commercial acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic thinking to ensure Editions performs at its best.

You will have P&L ownership from day one and will essentially be running a business within a business. Your role will involve developing strategies to help the portfolio of restaurants grow and succeed. Additionally, you will be responsible for sourcing and onboarding new restaurant partners into Editions. This position requires a data-driven and ambitious individual who is looking for a challenging role that offers strong commercial and strategic business experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Commercial Managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success in driving sales growth and strategic account management.
  • Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our restaurant partners, ensuring their satisfaction and success within the Editions platform.
  • Sales Growth: Develop marketing plans and strategies to drive sales growth, leveraging data and analytics to make informed decisions.
  • Portfolio Management: Expand the Editions portfolio by identifying the right restaurants and areas for growth, ensuring optimal performance across all sites.
  • Business Development: Source and onboard new restaurant partners for Editions, overseeing the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
  • New Business Models: Ideate and execute on new business models to drive incremental revenue and explore innovative opportunities within the food delivery landscape.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Utilize data analysis to make informed decisions, identify trends, and propose recommendations for maximizing brand discoverability and order volume sales potential.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other segments of the Commercial team & Marketing team to secure Deliveroo’s market share & growth

 

Requirements:

  • Experience: Early start-up experience and/or P&L responsibility. Minimum 7 years of experience in B2B sales and/or marketplace roles, with a strong track record of success.
  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand and use data effectively to drive business decisions and achieve commercial objectives.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Results-Oriented: A self-starter with a hands-on approach, able to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure.
  • Passion for Food and Tech: Interest in the food industry, restaurants, and tech start-ups, with a drive to stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in performing all essential duties.
  • Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Suite and comfortable with technology and digital tools.
  • Proactive and Driven: A proactive individual who is driven, hard-working, and constantly seeks opportunities for growth and improvement.
