About Harry’s

Harry’s Inc. started in 2013 with a specific goal: disrupt the shaving industry by creating an innovative, everyday product at a fair price. Since then, Harry’s has expanded to Canada and Europe, developed relationships with retailers such as Target and Walmart, expanded our grooming brand into a personal care powerhouse, launched two new brands including Flamingo and Cat Person, and made our first brand acquisition with Lumē.

The key to our success? Our amazing people. From chemists, mechanical engineers, CX associates, to creative directors, sourcing managers, and logistics specialists, the Harry’s team is composed of some of the most brilliant, diverse, and humble people you’ll ever meet.

Our brands answer unmet consumer needs, but our company is a place of inclusion and innovation that attracts some of the brightest minds across industries, geographies, and backgrounds. Whether we have a team of 5 or 500, our core values and our startup mentality remain; we value continuous improvement and learning, teamwork and collaboration, creative problem solving, and open and direct dialogue and feedback.

Harry’s is operating as a hybrid-first environment - for us, that means that we ask folks to come into our beautiful, 70,000 square foot SoHo office a minimum of 2 days per week, with flexibility to choose exactly which days work best for you.  What will you get out of that?  Bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday.  Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom (remember what 2019 was like?)

About the team

The incredible person that joins us (you?!) will be a key leader on our People and Impact team at Harry’s Inc, reporting to our Chief People Officer and serving on our People Leadership Group (her senior staff).  Our People team is highly respected by the business; we care deeply about our Harry’s Inc. team and partner closely with leadership and employees at all levels as trusted partners, in order to drive innovation and create an environment where amazing talent and high-performing teams thrive and have what they need to do their career- best work.

This role will lead our Talent Acquisition and Global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion teams, as well as build out a centralized Talent Development organization to help our employees learn, grow and progress in their careers.  This leader will empower the talented individuals that comprise each of these teams today,  and will have the opportunity to build the team further over time and as Harry’s continues to scale.

About the role

As our Global Head of Talent and Diversity, you will be responsible for the holistic Talent experience, which includes a ton of high-impact initiatives:  Setting and communicating our Employee Value proposition and Employer Brand, leading the creation and execution of our Talent strategy, our Talent Acquisition programs and processes  to find amazing talent at all levels of the company to join us, creating an impactful onboarding experience for new employees, and creating world-class learning + development solutions to help our employees learn, grow and innovate.

Equally importantly to the Talent part of the role, you will also lead our Diversity, Equity and inclusion work at Harry’s Inc. We’ve been on our DEI journey for some time, and our leadership team is fully committed to continuing this work.  We know that representation matters, at all levels of the company.  We believe that a representative and diverse workforce helps us unlock our full potential and build amazing brands and products for everyone.  We want our workplace culture to be a place where everyone can thrive, feel included, contribute and belong.  And we want to build processes that are equitable and fair, so everyone has a level playing field from which they can succeed.  And we need a holistic, comprehensive, best-in-class DEI strategy to bring this commitment to life in even more impactful ways.

Expert DEI professionals know that meaningful  impact in this role can be made when a leader has real ownership of Talent processes and programs:  from talent acquisition, to talent development, which is why we’ve intentionally created this role’s scope.  This is how we build a workforce that is representative at all levels of the company, build processes that are equitable and fair, and support career progression and development for everyone.  At Harry’s Inc., our ambition for DEI goes beyond words and intentions- and into real, meaningful action and impact.  As the leader of this combined Talent and Diversity organization, you’ll have meaningful ownership in processes and programs that will help you drive best-in-class outcomes.

You will also be a People leader, managing a team of employees across the full career spectrum.  You’ll have strong support from members of the People team, from the Chief People Officer, to your peers on the People Leadership Group, to our amazing and talented teammates in the US and Europe.

Finally, you’ll be a senior leader across Harry’s Inc., partnering with fellow leaders at the company to influence, advise, and guide on matters of Talent and Diversity across our portfolio of brands, providing expertise and experience to help us scale in a way we are proud of, and build world-class People practices.
