About the role

We are seeking our first ever Head of Pre-Sales to join our team in London. At Synthesia, our Pre-Sales team plays a crucial role in aligning prospect and customer expectations throughout the sales process. The Head of Pre-Sales will leverage their experience and knowledge to implement strategies that contribute to Synthesia's overall revenue goals. This role involves not only leadership responsibilities but also hands-on involvement in day-to-day activities, given our current structure. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Pre-Sales, excited to make an impact, and be eager to lead and develop a team of Pre-Sales specialists. 

What you’ll be doing…

  • Owning our Pre-Sales strategy, emphasising post-sale expansion and customer adoption, and enabling a seamless transition to post-sales.
  • Being a hands-on leader in the team; supporting on daily tasks when needed.
  • Collaborating closely with the Head of Services to ensure a seamless alignment of pre-sales activities with pilot programs managed by Services.
  • Defining and tracking key performance metrics for the presales team with a focus on conversions.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Pre Sales reps.
  • Complete RFIs/RFPs and assist in preparing proposals and supporting materials in the sales process.
  • Providing guidance and support to achieve team goals and individual performance objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and deliver compelling pre sales presentations and solutions.
  • Becoming an expert in the Synthesia product and our service offerings; ensuring the pre-sales team is well-versed in presenting solutions effectively.
  • Overseeing the creation of tailored proposals and presentations addressing customer requirements and demonstrating value.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment in strategies and messaging supporting post-sale objectives.
  • Answer technical, functional, compliance, security, and architecture questions for internal colleagues and customers.
  • Coordinate vendor assessment processes, including security reviews.
  • Liaise with technical colleagues for in-depth responses.

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • Around 6+ years of experience in Pre-Sales with a minimum of 3 years as a manager in hyper-growth companies
  • A passion for building, developing and coaching teams to success, with strong examples of doing so 
  • A results-focused, target driven approach to your work, with a track record of success
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Genuine interest and excitement in the Synthesia product and our goals
