The Opportunity

As our Compensation and Benefits intern, you'll be a data and process-driven individual who is looking for the opportunity to learn and support the administration of UserTesting’s compensation, benefits and wellness programs.  You'll will work closely with the Total Rewards team and members of the broader People team to apply best practices to compensation and benefits work and the rollout of a companywide wellness program, as well as building, documenting and recommending improvements to processes.

You'll quickly learn the day-to-day responsibilities of the compensation and benefits roles on the team by observing, asking questions, reading existing documentation and participating in tasks and then you'll go on to create and/or build upon documentation of processes and procedures (pay range requests from Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, Managers and Employees, compensation analysis requests, data audits across platforms, etc.) for backups to reference when someone on the team is out of the office.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Suggest improvements to existing compensation and benefits-related business processes in preparation for Workday implementation (offer, benefits enrollment, etc.)
  • Learn about compensation and benefits surveys (benchmarking, topical/trend, etc.) and participate on behalf of UserTesting
  • Assist with monthly benefits processing including liaising with payroll and updating internal and 3rd party systems
  • Monitor and respond to tickets submitted through JIRA ticketing system and escalate when appropriate
  • Complete data audits within our systems and across vendor platforms and drive the cleanup of any gaps found
  • Support the planning, rollout and administration of a companywide wellness program
  • Learn how to complete basic analyses and support basic analysis requests
  • Create and/or update compensation and benefits resources for various audiences (People team, Managers, Employees, Candidates)
  • Build and maintain project plans and/or trackers for assigned projects and tasks
  • Present regular updates to key stakeholders in internal meetings
  • Successfully partner and collaborate with key stakeholders across the TR team, People team and broader company

 

What we're looking for:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Sheets/Excel and Slides/Powerpoint
  • Ability to review data, find gaps, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ability to observe and ask questions in order to document processes, and make suggestions for process improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
