We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR generalist to join our London team, with a focus on employee relations, engagement and retention. 

This is a full-time role, office based Monday to Thursday, within our London office, close to St Pauls.

What You Will Do: 

Business Partnering

  • Conduct regular informal meetings with managers and team leaders
  • Maintain a continuous dynamic conversation to understand and ensure pro-active support for all teams.
  • Work with managers to create a culture which supports Mintel's core values and Competencies.

Employee Relations

  • Manage end to end employee relation issues within the company escalating complex cases to the HRBP.

Employee Engagement

  • Support the HRBP in all employee engagement activities, providing thoughts on possible follow up action.
  • Support the HR Executive in the production of the monthly newsletter to the EMEA region; liaising with the committee to ensure relevant content is included.
  • Ensure "Fun" is being injected in the everyday life of our employees by supporting cultural and company events.
  • Ensure managers are recognizing excellence, and employees are being acknowledged for their contributions, through initiatives such as our MVP programme
  • Administer the company benefits programmes 

Onboarding and performance management

  • Ensure induction and onboarding processes are fit for purpose
  • Deliver basic training in the areas of performance management, in conjunction with our training team
  • Support the HRBP on the annual goal-setting and appraisal process

Management /leadership coaching & development

  • Provide coaching and training to managers to ensure consistent best practice in people management
  • Manage and develop the HR Executive
  • Ensure that the HR Executive is able to act as the first point of call for routine HR enquiries, annual leave, HRIS details etc

Maintain the HRIS System

  • Ensure employee profiles and records within our company HRIS and online personnel records are being maintained
  • Perform periodic audits of system information working with the HRIS Analyst
  • Provide reports and data analysis as and when required.

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude able to identify problems and come forward with solutions.
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role from within a dynamic, constantly evolving professional service, media, creative or communications agency environment. 
  • Able to operate at both management level and switch to hands on operational HR admin tasks.
  • Strong background dealing with difficult ER issues with a comprehensive knowledge of employment law.
  • A professional, engaging and friendly personality who has the confidence to represent our culture
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent HR qualification
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office

  • Presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate and connect at all levels
