Image Coordinator at Lonely Planet.In this role, you will be responsible for tracking, organising and uploading images (and relevant metadata) used across the print and digital business to a digital asset management system (DAM), as well as seeking and documenting global permissions to use sensitive, proprietary or model-release only images for our guidebooks and trade and references titles. This role may also include uploading images to our CMS, and other relevant tasks.   What You’ll Do:
  • Responsible for keeping an accurate, up-to-date, accessible and organised catalogue of rights-free imagery for use in our products. This includes organising rights-free images purchased from image libraries and submitted by contributors, including checking and inputting of metadata (geolocation, tagging, caption, credit, etc) and uploading to the proper location in the DAM
  • Assist in keeping track of photo usage across print (guidebook and gift/illustrated titles), and liaise with the Photo Director to inform budget/contract negotiations with photo libraries
  • Review, seek and document permissions for sensitive, proprietary or model-release only images for use in guidebooks and trade and references titles.
  • Work with print and digital teams to best access/use photos in the DAM
What We’re Looking For:
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good eye for detail
  • Ability to review photos for general quality/acceptance parameters
  • Background in photography an asset
  • Training or experience in an administrative or cataloguing capacity an asset
  • Knowledge of varied image sources (stock agencies, museums, artist’s catalogues, archives, historical societies)
  • Knowledge of image rights, contract negotiation and legal clearance processes for licensed content
  • Knowledge of copyright, licences, and permissions
  • Collaboration across business and function teams
  • Experience acquiring photo permissions in publishing or media
  • Experience with content management systems/digital asset management systems an asset
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Proficiency in digital content workflow tools, such as AirTable, Asana and content management systems
Compensation
  • Cash Compensation Range: €27,000-€34,000 pa
  •  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
