Inside Sales Manager - Velocity Team

We are looking for a results-driven Inside Sales Manager with expertise in sales velocity motion to lead and inspire our growing velocity team. As the Inside Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by implementing strategies to increase sales velocity, nurturing relationships with prospects, and accelerating time to value for new customers. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of driving customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a new team of Inside Sales Representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals. Establish cross functional relationships, metrics, and team culture norms.
  • Sales Velocity Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales velocity, streamline the sales process, reduce friction points, and accelerate deal closure.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with technology practitioners across various locations to identify opportunities and drive sales growth.
  • Business Development: Work diligently to prospect, qualify, and close business, leveraging a consultative approach and conducting effective product demos.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales Engineering (SE) to conduct technical and non-technical web product demos and ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Maintain accurate customer records, activity reports, and pipeline management within Salesforce to track performance metrics and drive insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate sales processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize sales velocity and efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of inside sales experience in a technology-driven environment, with a focus on accelerating sales velocity, and New Logo Aquisiton. 
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies and techniques, with the ability to effectively qualify leads and manage a high-volume pipeline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with prospects and team members.
  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for driving revenue growth, exceeding expectations, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools is a plus.
  • Experience with PLG motion
  • Knowledge of complex software in the security and observability space

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $108,080 - $126,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) such as role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
