About the NA Sales Team

Our NA Sales Team is based in San Francisco, with hubs in NYC, Austin, and more. We’re responsible for the full sales cycle, helping prospects and existing customers leverage Mixpanel to analyze, measure, and improve their customer experience. The team consists of two roles - Account Executives who bring in new business, and Account Managers responsible for nurturing existing customers. The team specifically covers companies with employee sizes from 1-500, emphasizing high-growth tech companies who are changing the world around us.

About the Role

We are looking for an entry level sales representative who would focus on receiving inbound leads and supporting customers on their journey to acquire Mixpanel as their main product analytics solution. The scope for this role will respond promptly to inbound inquiries from prospective customers via phone, email, and chat while managing a high volume of inbound leads and maintaining an organized pipeline.

You are based in either NYC/San Francisco or close enough to be present in the office with the team on a regular basis.

You will be someone that is eager to explore a career in software sales. and is excited working with the hottest startups in the region.

You'll help our future customers understand the power of Mixpanel as the best-in-class product analytics solution in the market. Collaboration is key, between building strong relationships with prospects and key stakeholders to working with internal cross-functional partners like Sales Engineering to win together as one team.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound requests for Demos or Contact us through our website or other channels.
  • Run discovery calls and identify exactly the elements the customer needs to see in our platform to make a quick sale. The average deal value you will be responsible for will be between 5-25K USD ARR.
  • To organize and run one too many demos or one to one demos if necessary.
  • To answer any technical questions or administrative questions they may have.
  • To ensure that all the relevant information is captured on Salesforce and kept up to date.
  • Helping customers in their decision making around their product analytics while owning short term sales cycles from start to finish.
  • Solution demonstration in front of C level customer, champions and technical stakeholders.
  • Drive awareness of Mixpanel as a solution within the marketplace through handling inbound requests from interested prospects. We love a social AE so please be ready to share your own thoughts and content with your network.
  • Approach all opportunities with a customer focused mentality. Develop relationships and uncover the needs of multiple key stakeholders to find value moments.
  • Sell with a consultative approach. 
  • To support the customer with enough information/demos for them to make a sale fast through our online portal or help them sign up so they can try the product themselves.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key partners such as Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Product, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Intimately understand Mixpanel's competition as well as technology partners to consult customers on our place in the broader analytics market.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer facing role.
  • An agile mind and strong active listening skills who can ask the right questions fast to establish what needs to be done to get a sale.
  • Understands the importance selling face to face, attending events and being part of local communities (product, marketing, analytics environment).
  • Strong Technical knowledge and a high level of comfort with providing technical advice and demoing on the fly.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator — you have strong interpersonal skills and are an excellent team player.
  • Adaptability — you understand that change is constant, and you embrace it.
  • Agility and resilience — you move quickly and encourage continued improvement.Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and a drive to excel.
  • Curiosity for the tech space.

Compensation

The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. You can view our benefits offerings here.Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors. If you have questions about the specific range, your recruiter can share this information.
