Instructional Designer, Collibra University
As an Instructional Designer on the Collibra University team, you will develop repeatable e-learning experiences that best showcase Collibra’s products. You will work alongside other creative education professionals to develop curricula, write scripts, work with subject matter experts, and design courses. You will have an opportunity to combine a passion for learning and education with your enthusiasm for data in order to drive enablement for our customers and partners.
This is a hybrid position based in Raleigh, NC.
Instructional Designers at Collibra are responsible for- Creating effective and engaging learning solutions for self-paced e-learning courses and instructor-led training.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather knowledge, assess learning needs, and develop curricula.
- Understanding and communicating highly complex material and presenting simplified and relevant learning design proposals.
- Collaborating with other learning and design professionals to create consistent content that meets brand standards.
- Advocating for the learner and becoming a champion of quality learning.
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, a related field such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of direct experience in designing and developing technical curricula, training materials, and content to include online/e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, online tutorials, and other relevant training assets.
- Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and ability to evaluate learning effectiveness using instructional design assessment strategies.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate360, Synthesia, Camtasia, etc.).
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Organized and able to effectively manage and own multiple projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Able to collaborate with other Collibrians with different backgrounds and skill sets.
- Able to adapt to business needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to adapt quickly to changes in technology.
- Strong in both written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Within your first month, you will follow a guided learning plan that includes instructor-led courses and self-paced courses to gather basic product knowledge.
- Within your third month, you will build up your own Collibra environment and begin accumulating knowledge and expertise specific to one of Collibra’s products.
- Within your sixth month, you will develop a series of courses and tutorials for your specialized product area.
The standard base salary range for this position is $ 60,000 - $ 75000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
