Brief Overview of Position

Wayfair is looking for a driven leader to join and lead a design team that is motivated, passionate and relentlessly focused on driving sales target metrics, building personalized connections, developing teams, and creating an environment that invites and inspires our customers.

Essential Functions

  • Assist Salesfloor Manager in creating store culture that promotes recognition, team development, relentless customer focus, and consistent drive to exceed target sales metrics.
  • Provide an authentic & friendly customer experience that exemplifies our Wayfair commitment to relentless customer focus.
  • Lead associates in maintaining a strong associate presence on the salesfloor to help drive exceptional service standards and sales.
  • Provide coaching and support to Design Associate & Specialist team and support their allocated workload effort.
  • Maintain a strong and up to date awareness of business acumen and department performance.
  • Be an owner by mastering selling essentials, sales analytics tools, and other training resources to educate and train associates.
  • Demonstrate confidence in closing the sale and educating customers on various ways to purchase including through POS, Online, and our app.
  • Collaborate effectively in all operational aspects of the store including but not limited to: processing new products, floor sets, replenishment, backfill substitutions, and general upkeep of the store.
  • Engage in a high energy, focused and dynamic work environment where there can be rapid changes in products, promotions, and operations.
  • Leverage interior design and sales expertise in the home furnishings space to help coach and train associates, so they can in turn, help our customers navigate through their design needs and purchases (such as fabric, finishes, texture of the product)
  • Manage virtual and in-store design appointments (including preparation of design deliverables, product curation, and follow up)

 

Experience Qualifications 

  • 1-3 years Retail experience with a focus in sales (preferably Interior Design, furniture, or home furnishings experience). Required
  • 1-3 years Leadership experience motivating a team to achieve and deliver strong sales results and building customer portfolios. Required
  • Experience in business to business collaboration and sales interactions. Preferred
  • Technical acumen to learn necessary software; proficiency in Google Suites and/or Microsoft Office applications preferred.
