INTERN COMMERCIAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT – (Start date: June 2024)

Your role and your team: 

In this position, you will be part of the Commercial Operations Team, supporting the Commercial Project Management Office (PMO). You will report to a Project Manager and contribute with project specific deliverables and creating project management specific documentation and reports. The position will allow you to apply existing project management skills in a cross-functional environment, interfacing with team members from across the company such as Engineering or IT.  Part of your role will be to refine and implement best practices for the Commercial PMO as well as to create concept/planning documents and explore more strategic topics.  

We are looking for a fast learner with excellent communication skills capable of working on complex projects to help prepare Entry into Service of our aircraft in 2026. Therefore, we are looking for a hands-on individual who is comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments. This internship offers exposure to the intricacies of project management within a commercial setting and provides a platform for professional growth and development. 

The minimum duration of the internship is 6 months and the candidate must be enrolled in a Masters degree program for the full duration of the internship.  The role will be based in Munich.

Day to day  

  • Support the PMO with tasks such as creating project reports, risk management reports, tracking progress of various projects, and creating planning documents 
  • Contribute to several projects ranging from Sales, Communications and Events, and Services (Lilium POWER-ON), to the Design and Brand of our product 
  • Generate and implement suggestions for continuous improvement of the Commercial PMO 
  • Develop ideas and be responsible for implementation alone or with support from the project manager  
  • Learn and apply project management skills  
  • Work cross-functionally in a fast paced, international environment 
  • Work on ad-hoc projects and tasks 

Profile  

  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently is essential 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines 
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Grit and perseverance – You like challenges and push yourself to persevere when others back away 
  • >6 months experience in project management, aerospace, consulting, and/or a startup preferred 
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
