Location: India Innovation Centre, Bangalore

Duration : 8 -10 Weeks (Summer)

Position Description:As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Intern, you will bridge the gap between software development and systems operations. You will work with a team of seasoned engineers to Automate, build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our services. Our goal is to move away from manual "toil" and move toward automated, "self-healing" systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Internship Scope):

• Automation & Tooling: Write scripts (Python, Go, or Bash) to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve team productivity.
• Monitoring & Observability: Help build and maintain dashboards (using Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK) to monitor system health and performance.
• Incident Support: Shadow senior engineers during incident responses and assist in writing "blameless postmortems" to ensure the same issue doesn't happen twice.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Assist in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Capacity Planning: Analyze system metrics to help predict when we need more (or less) computing power to handle user traffic.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Coding: Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python is highly preferred).
• Operating Systems: Comfortable navigating a Linux/Unix command line.
• Networking Basics: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Cloud & Containers: Familiarity and knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and any major cloud provider (AWS prefered).

• The SRE Mindset: You view manual work as a bug that should be automated.
• Problem Solving: A "detective" mindset to find the root cause of complex technical failures.
• Communication: Ability to explain technical issues clearly to both developers and stakeholders.
